Abstract:

Rapid technological change is transforming our interconnected global landscape bringing opportunities and challenges that need to be tackled to address economic, social and environmental needs. Entrepreneurship, using creative and new approaches, is becoming even more crucial in solving these problems at all scales. Biomimicry, an emerging discipline, provides a way of looking to nature for design inspiration and problem-solving to create breakthrough and sustainable solutions. This webinar will introduce biomimicry as a nature-inspired approach and framework to help us innovate sustainably, foster entrepreneurial thinking and design regenerative futures. The discussion will highlight how innovations are happening across multiple disciplines and industries from architecture, engineering to social innovation using nature’s models and strategies. The aim is to improve the innovation capabilities and provide a new toolkit for entrepreneurs to use in designing solutions and leading change.
